Shopping Trip to Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, CA

It may have been a grey day on my Sunday visit to Rosewood Miramar, but the hotel was still sparkling! My friend and I planned to brunch at The Revere Room and check out all the onsite shops.

So, let’s talk shopping first. (Of course!)  There’s a lovely James Perse store right in the main turnaround at the front entrance. I can see why it’s a perfect shop for the location, as it offers beach life basics in neutral colors. Totally chic and wearable. Are you looking for a neoprene duffel bag? They’ve got you covered there too.

When you go in the main entrance, you’ll see the latest location of The Webster (which I love) off to the right.  This Miami-based retailer has created the “Webster Walk-in Closet” here in Montecito, and I absolutely love it! Its tight edit includes store exclusives, such as a stunning Pucci caftan I spied with outstanding beaded fringe detail.  It’s also one of the few locations that has offerings from Chanel. I think they’ve done a great job mixing brands, colors, and textures ideal for the resort environment. I appreciate how they paired a pink Givenchy mini-skirt with a pastel-striped cardigan by Re/Done. My friend was enamored with a dreamy pair of heels from Amina Muaddi. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the fine jewelry, including designers such as Anito Ko, NeverNoT, and Melissa Kaye. If you enjoy the signature scent of the store, you can go home with that as well. (My friend did!)

On the other side of the lobby, there’s also a petite location of the jewelry store Laykin et Cie. (They also have locations in Los Angeles and San Marino.) We were coveting various estate pieces, as well as some pieces from their own line.

As we passed through the grand lobby out to the terrace for brunch, we also stopped in the Brunello Cucinelli store. I’m sure you’re familiar with this luxe Italian brand.  I can imagine they do a brisk business outfitting the amazingly chic hotel guests in their exquisite garments.

Of course, by now we were ready to indulge in a yummy brunch! We were seated on the outside terrace, with beautiful black and white striped umbrellas and a stellar view of the grounds and ocean. As we waited for our order, we completely enjoyed the parade of animals (this hotel is one hundred percent animal friendly), especially a man with his Great Dane on the main lawn.

Time absolutely flew while enjoying my Moscow mule, Cali Cobb salad, and wonderful conversation with my friend. Of course, I extended our stay by ordering some vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Rosewood Miramar, and I look forward to my next visit!
