San Francisco Bay Area | Hayes Valley
This neighborhood has undergone a complete transformation in the past couple decades. This once neglected area has now become one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city. The bulk of the action is on Hayes Street between Franklin St. and Laguna St., where you’ll find a host of boutiques and countless eateries. Personally, I love to enjoy the Croque Monsieur at Absinthe Brasserie & Bar, one of San Francisco’s oldest restaurants. While street parking is available, I often opt to park in the big Performing Arts Garage on Grove Street. Be aware that they often have a flat-rate fee if there’s a performance happening. For me, it’s still worth it not to have to search for a space and worry if my meter is running out.
