San Francisco Bay Area

I was born and raised right here in the Bay Area, so this is my home territory. San Francisco proper occupies the 49 square miles at the top of The Peninsula. Its neighborhoods are extremely varied and each has a unique personality, from the Castro to the Haight to the Marina. Cool and foggy in the summer with mild winters, you can’t beat the weather. As you head south of SF, you’ll find yourself in the area called “The Peninsula.” This includes cities such as Palo Alto and Los Altos. Head east over the Bay Bridge to the East Bay, which is home to cities including Oakland and Berkeley. My little black book includes stores in many of these cities, so get ready to explore.

Lunch Break

When shopping in downtown San Francisco, lunch at The Rotunda in Neiman Marcus is a real treat, from the popover to the famous glass dome ceiling from 1896.
