Rachel ComeyRachel Comey is a pleasant shot in the arm to the shopping roster on Fillmore Street. I’ve been a huge fan of the line for years, and I’m thrilled that there’s finally a Nor Cal location as of 2024. Since their launch in 2001, this brand continues to produce garments and accessories that I have not seen anywhere else. And this is saying something, as I’ve been a professional stylist for 25+ years! While so many brands seem to be copying one another, Rachel Comey rings true to themselves with an originality lacking in the general marketplace. Some of the things I love about the brand: there are items from casual sweatshirts to cocktail, they have size-inclusive garments, and they truly embrace color! On my inaugural visit to the SF store, I admired everything from a lime green patent bootie to a sheer black top covered in black tassels. Their pieces don’t have a date stamp. I purchased a cream sequin top probably 10 years ago, and it’s as current as the day I purchased it. No matter your age, I have a feeling you can find something that truly resonates with your personal style.
